Objectives: The goal of the Massage Therapy Program at Micro Tech Training Center is to provide students with the skills needed to work successfully as a massage therapist.
Students will be able to perform touch therapy, educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy, operate their own business or work in a healthcare environment and treat a multitude of ailments of the human body with massage therapy.
The student will enter the workforce as an entry-level massage therapist and will qualify to sit for the national certification exam. They will be prepared for the New York and National license exams by instructors who are nationally certified massage therapists.
Graduates will receive a diploma in Massage Therapy upon completion of the program, and may go on to obtain national certification through successful completion of the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork examination.
After graduation and certification, students have a multitude of career opportunities in hospitals, nursing homes, health and fitness environments, and private practices.
