Objective:
This curriculum is designed to help students work effectively in the health care environment. He/she will learn to correlate knowledge and skills in the didactics, laboratory, and clinical areas in performing vascular ultrasound examinations in the workplace.
Micro Tech Training Center provides work-simulated training and classroom environment with program-appropriate equipment needed to successfully prepare students in a highly technical environment where proper procedural skills development is a must. Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will be proficient as an entry-level Cardiovascular Sonographer in a variety of imaging laboratories, hospitals and clinics.
Program Description:
Students’ preparation includes extensive theoretical and laboratory
background in areas of human anatomy and physiology, basic principles
of vascular sonography, patient care and preparation, legal and ethical
aspects of ultrasonographic practice, departmental and diagnostic
protocols.
Emphasis will be placed on information and techniques
necessary for American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonography
(ARDMS) certification in Vascular Technology. At the conclusion of the
courses, students will receive a diploma in Cardiovascular Ultrasound.
